Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Annual Report Coordinator who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within reporting for the state government sector.

About your new role

The Annual Report Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end production of an organisation's most significant yearly publication. In this role, you act as a strategic liaison between diverse departments such as Finance, Legal, Communications and Sustainability to gather complex data and transform it into a cohesive narrative that reflects the company's performance and vision. You will establish and enforce a rigorous production timeline, ensuring that all contributors meet their deadlines so the report can be tabled or published in compliance with regulatory requirements. Beyond administrative oversight, you provide critical quality control by fact-checking figures, managing version history during intensive editing cycles and collaborating with designers to ensure the document is both visually engaging and accessible to stakeholders

What you will need to exceed

  • Deep understanding of the overarching legal requirements for public bodies.
  • Mastery of the 2018 Standing Directions and specific Financial Reporting Directions (FRDs) issued by the Assistant Treasurer.
  • Experience drafting the non-financial narrative of a report (performance highlights, chair/CEO reports, and strategic objectives).
  • Proven ability to manage a 6-month production cycle from initial planning to print/web publication.
  • Experience navigating complex governance structures, including Audit & Risk Committees and Board approvals.
  • The ability to translate complex financial data into "Plain English" for the general public.
  • An almost "obsessive" eye for detail to spot inconsistencies between the financial tables and the narrative text.
  • Previous experience in a Department or Agency is highly preferred.
  • A background in accounting helps significantly when reviewing financial statements.

Desirable

  • Experience in working for government
